This is age is also known as the age of Information and Technology. Now the world's information is more available online than any other time on history before. Trade-commerce, registration, verification, research, surveillance, payment, learning and communication are all done via the Internet.
The concept of internet is not that old in comparison to other sectors in our socio-economic cluster. It all started to form since 1950's when the first digital computer's development. USA was the pioneer in this revolution. In 1960's they initiated for ARPANET. In 1970's the communication protocol was conventionalized for a sustainable long lasting strategical infrastructural development. In 1982's Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) was formed as the standard networking protocol on the ARPANET. And soon after that the revolution never has to stopped.
Now a days more than 328 million devices are being connected to the internet each month. And researchers in reporting that about 50 billion devices will be connected to the internet by 2020.
So the concept of Machine to Machine (M2M a technology which enables machines to communicate intelligently using wifi & internet connection e.g. wifi webcam etc.)
Therefore we have a decent perspective here since all of out working and devices is going to integrate into the internet and we will need skilled work force to manage those systems online.
Can you imagine how much new job scopes are going to be created?
